How to design the cover of the employee manual
I. Cover Size and Layout
First, we need to determine the size and layout of the employee handbook. Typically, the size of the manual is 210mm x 285mm, which is the size of A4 paper. For layouts, we recommend the following format：
The company logo is placed in the center of the cover, which is about 1/4 of the cover area.
At the bottom of the logo, write the name of the company, which is about 1/5 of the cover area.
On the left or right side of the cover, list the headings of the main chapters, about 1/6 of the cover area.
The bottom of the cover leaves 1/4 space for the table of contents.
The back cover can list the company's contact information, copyright information, etc.
II. Color Matching and Theme
Second, we need to choose the color matching that suits the company's theme. Typically, we choose the standard color of the company or the color that represents the company's image. For example, if the company is a green business, we can choose a green color as the main color, with some auxiliary colors such as blue or gray.
III. Layout Design
Layout design is the key to cover design. Some simple geometric shapes can be used to guide the reader's view, such as rectangles, circles, and triangles. At the same time, we can highlight the key points by the size, color, and location of the text and images. For example, we can highlight company logos and names in larger fonts and bright colors.
IV. Graphic and Text Design
In the design of the cover, the design of the picture and the text is equally important.
Pictures can capture the reader's attention and enhance their interest in the manual.We can select images that are relevant to the company's theme, such as company products, team photos, etc.At the same time, the design of the text is important.We can use simple, powerful language to express the company's philosophy and values.For example, if the company is an innovative company, we can use language like "innovation drives the future."
